Starting a 5K Race Committee

We are forming a Wildcat, Bobcat 5k race committee. 
5K Committee Meeting Tue, January 16, 2018, 6:00 pm in Gardner High Library.
Looking for folks with knowledge and experience with 5k races. (members & Non-members of Track XC Booster club) 
The Wildcat & Bobcat 5k's races would be in 2018 Bobcat race at the end of school year & Wildcat 5k at the start of school year in the fall.
The races would use the same 5k course for both races.
The 5k's would Benefit the Gardner High School & Middle school Track & Field and Cross Country programs.
The Races would be Sponsored by the Gardner Track XC Booster club and the Wildcat,Bobcat 5k race committee.
We need a few people to spear head the committee along with committee members.
The committee mission would be to come up with a 3.1 mile Race route.
The Race will be family friendly run/walk course.
The group would gather the information on what Insurance,permits what we need for police officers for traffic. 
The committee would come up with a plan for race timing,sign ups, posting results and how many volunteers for water stops,start line,finish line,along course. 
Race Awards & T-shirt design & getting prices & ordering.
The committee will present spending cost to the Gardner Track XC Booster club for vote approval. 
​The Wildcat,Bobcat 5k committee along with Booster club & Track XC Teams will help gather donations for the race & volunteers for the 5ks.
The Wildcat,Bobcat races are to be basic 5k races all profits are going to the Track XC Booster club who in turn will use it for the GHS & GMS Track & Field, Cross Country teams.
